The profiled cutterheads can be divided as shank type used on CNC routers or with bore used on moulders and tenoners. Both can be either cylindrical or conical. The profile knives are of insert type not brazed.
The cutterheads of Superprofiler type are universal. Behind the profile knife the backing plate supports the knife. Both are profiled, clamped by wedge and screws.
